For Bryan from High Park, cobble stone walkway and flower beds [ June 13th, 2009 ] Posted in » Our Landscape Projects

Bryan needed to refresh the look of his front yard and wanted something nice and simple. Most of all he wanted us to include a tall retaining wall that would match exactly the very front retaining wall, freshen up the cobble stone walkway and re-sod the rest. It doesn’t seem like we changed much, but actually quite a bit of work was done. What we did is dug it all up, built a flower bed retaining wall with Atlas, Junior wall units by the porch staircase that matches the very front retaining wall, with cobble stone walkway we widened it a bit, we split it by the porch staircase, added new part that leads to the driveway, cleaned up the joints and finished them with polymeric sand, created additional two flower beds surrounded with the same matching cobble stones as the walkway and finished the job by re-levelling and re-sodding the rest. Simple, yet pleasant  job.

For Carol from North York, waterproofing, drainage, interlocking steps, walkway and more

This project was done for Carol, but though our builder/renovator, Nick. Carol wanted to improve the access to the backyard though that side of the house. Very complicated and stressful project here. We had to re-do the sprinkler system, re-do the gas line, insert drain pipes which lead to a french well, deal with cable and a phone line, some waterproofing and finally some fun stuff, nice interlock staircase and a walkway. We also did some minor planting, extended the cedar flower bed and planted some swamp cedars there. Material used here was Unilock, Brussels Block for paving and Unilock, Roman Pisa for steps/walls.

For David from Oakville, front staircase

Here is a very nice staircase that we did for David from Oakville. David wanted round curves, large front door landing, maximum walkway space and the walkway was to work with current tree. The material used is Unilock, Pisa 2 for steps/walls and Unilock, Brussels Block, for paving areas.
